Mini-Classes

Of the four class options for businesses, mini-classes are an affordable training option for small groups. Although conducted in a group format, St. Edward’s University mini-classes are designed to be a personalized, interactive learning experience for each person.

Benefits of Mini-Classes

• Each trainee is assessed to understand his/her level of English language skills.
• Multiple levels of English are taught simultaneously using the Apple® language labs and iPods® that allow faculty to tailor assignments to each student’s specific needs. This approach eliminates the need to wait for less advanced trainees to catch up and allows more experienced English speakers to flourish.
• Trainees will speak 5–10 times more often than in a traditional group class, which accelerates fluency.
• The use of Apple iPod technology outside the classroom helps to further immerse trainees in the English language. Specially prepared exercises are loaded onto an iPod for additional practice in speaking and listening, to better ensure retention between classes.
