The Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOL) program at St. Edward’s University prepares students to confidently and skillfully enact positive, organizational change — a crucial competency in today’s fast-paced companies and organizations. Students will understand leadership from the individual, group, organizational and global perspectives, allowing them to facilitate change across diverse teams in the workplace.
The MSOL program offers core courses in and two concentration options (Leadership & Change and Human Development).
- Concentration 1 ("Leadership & Change"): students continue to explore contemporary issues in leadership & change, including how to execute change in many different types of organizations and environments.
- Concentration 2 ("Human Development"): students will learn the impact of mental health issues common in education, cross-cultural issues/strategies, and how data analytics drives educational outcomes
- The curriculum consists of ten courses for a total of thirty hours. Seven of those are core courses, and each of the two tracks contains three courses.

MSOL Program Director Tom Sechrest, PhD, brings a depth of experience, connections both locally and globally, and ties to many professional organizations, including the International Leadership Association, the Academy for Human Resource Development, the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics, and Phi Kappa Phi honor society.
